Self-irony meets haters
Will annoyed BVG customers find the new JvM campaign as funny as we do?

Last December we reported on the #weilwirdichlieben campaign with the "I don't care" commercial. The Berlin public transport company probably scored a lot of sympathy points with the ad. Not a matter of course for a company that is mainly criticized. The frontal attack on the hearts of customers initiated by Jung von Matt/Elbe is now being topped once again. Daring. Because now the full range of self-irony is being unpacked. Message: "What annoys you about us, we do on purpose". Or with the BVG words: "We don't care about many things. But some things just have to be planned long in advance to make them work really well."
Great. And extremely funny. Especially if you can enjoy the commercial from afar and have nothing to do with the transport companies in your everyday life. Whether you can laugh about it if you really suffer from the delays and the ticket prices are a serious blow to your household budget - you don't know. Or as one YouTube comment put it: "Would love to cancel my subscription right now... unfortunately I'm dependent on you bastards."
Would we forgive SBB, ZVV & Co. if they responded to the grumbling about price increases or chronically overcrowded rush-hour trains in this way? That is a completely open question and probably depends on the observer's mood on the day.
It is unclear exactly which hearts the Berlin transport companies are winning here. Ours for sure. But that's probably pretty irrelevant from Berlin's point of view. (hae)
