Nice present
A little Christmas kitsch is a must: Iceland Foods turns children into enthusiastic—albeit unwitting—brand ambassadors.

This is something we are no longer used to: a funny Christmas campaign. Even if humor is debatable: The trashy way Iceland Foods and London agency Karmarama have hijacked famous unboxing videos on YouTube and repurposed them for their own purposes is a welcome change in the whole emotional (and mostly animated) Christmas storytelling jungle.
And yes: unwrapping videos are also an internet phenomenon. Parents film their children unwrapping their long-awaited presents. This is sometimes viewed millions of times because the joy is infectious and most people like happy children. It's cute and adorable - but that doesn't change the fact that parents shouldn't put their children on the internet at all.
But that doesn't change the fact that the sometimes almost amateurishly tinkered Iceland packaging and the inappropriate dubbing are great cinema. Depending on your sense of humor. (hae)
