Ten years of design with attitude - Simone Züger shows anniversary exhibition

Zurich-based designer and artist Simone Züger is celebrating ten years of independent work—and taking stock of her career in a way that also marks a new beginning. In an anniversary exhibition, she showcased works spanning a decade that bridge the worlds of design, art, and social responsibility.

Since founding her studio in 2015, Züger has stood for a clear yet poetic design language that moves between gallery and everyday life. Her designs - from brand identities and spatial concepts to furniture and objects - are characterized by sensuality, structure and attitude. "I want to create atmospheres that touch and create identity," she says about her approach.

Her clients include institutions and brands such as the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich, Cervo Resort, Adidas, ETH Zürich, Annabelle and Migros. Her most recent works show an increasing turn towards the sculptural - objects that explore function and emotion in equal measure.

Looking back, Züger's work reveals itself as a continuous search for reduction, impact and attitude - as design that thinks both aesthetically and politically. To mark the anniversary, she announces that she will be accepting new commissions again - without giving up the experimental character of her studio.
