Titlis Bergbahnen, in collaboration with the agency Standing Ovation, is launching an international campaign to mark the opening of the Titlis Tower on May 28 and 29, 2026. A cinematic teaser trailer showcases the tower—designed by Herzog & de Meuron—for the first time as the destination’s new landmark at 3,020 meters above sea level. The multi-phase campaign brings the structure—which traces its origins to a radio tower from the 1980s—to life step by step.

Titlis Bergbahnen is launching an international campaign for the opening of the Titlis Tower, which will be officially opened on the summit of Titlis (3,020 m above sea level) on May 28 and 29, 2026. The campaign kicks off with a film teaser trailer that presents the tower internationally for the first time and marks the start of a campaign that will bring the building to life step by step.

With the key message "Are you ready for the awakening?", the teaser opens the international campaign and presents the tower as a new landmark on the summit of the Titlis. The Titlis Tower was designed by Basel-based architects Herzog & de Meuron and is part of the "Project Titlis" infrastructure project, which will further develop the destination in terms of architecture and tourism.

"The Titlis Tower stands for the pioneering spirit of our company. With this building, we are combining technological history, architecture and a new summit experience for our guests," says André Sidler, Head of Marketing & Sales at Titlis Bergbahnen.

From a directional blasting tower to a place of experience

The tower dates back to a PTT directional tower from the 1980s. For decades, it served the technical infrastructure on the summit. With the Titlis Tower, the structure is now being opened to visitors for the first time and made accessible as a new place to experience.

Multi-stage campaign up to the opening

The communication surrounding the opening of the Titlis Tower is structured as a multi-stage campaign. The first phase focuses on the awakening of the tower. After decades of technical use, the building is being staged for the first time as a new place of experience on the summit. The second phase focuses on the Titlis as a place of encounters and perspectives - a meeting place where people from all over the world can come together and experience the Alps from a new perspective. The third phase will lead to the official opening of the Titlis Tower in May 2026.

The teaser trailer is played out internationally via digital channels, social media and online video platforms and leads to the campaign landing page www.titlis.ch/titlis-tower.

The film was made by Swiss filmmaker Elmar Bossard. The voiceover was provided by internationally renowned voice artist Michael Morris. The campaign storyline and creative idea were developed together with the agency Standing Ovation.

The official opening of the Titlis Tower will take place on May 28 and 29, 2026 with international VIP events. This will be followed by two open days for the local population and interested visitors.
