Schaffhausen goes for humor: New drive for public transport

A communication campaign full of wit and mischief: The canton of Schaffhausen is sparking conversation about buses and trains with creative headlines and illustrations—created by Freundliche Grüsse.

Public transport in the canton of Schaffhausen is the focus of a new communication concept that combines creative wordplay with a humorous wink. The aim is to motivate more people to switch from car to public transport. The Public Transport Coordination Office of the Canton of Schaffhausen (KÖV) has commissioned Freundliche Grüsse as the creative lead.

The concept combines smart headlines with fresh illustrations that put buses and trains in the spotlight. A particular advantage is that the design is flexible and can be adapted on a daily basis. René Meyer, Head of KÖV, explains: "With this flexible and eye-catching concept, we can always communicate the public transport topics of the canton of Schaffhausen quickly, on a daily basis and in a fun way."

The first flight of the campaign was distributed via various channels such as print, posters, banners, flyers and even beer mats. The messages emphasize climate friendliness and comfort while creating a charming connection to passengers' everyday lives.
