Rebel swims against the tide with Kyma

Rebel has created a guide to sustainable consumption for the marine conservation organization Kyma, which draws attention to the threats facing the oceans and shows how healthy eating and marine conservation can go hand in hand.

As a non-profit association, KYMA sea conservation & research has been committed to protecting the oceans and their inhabitants since 2019 and combines scientific research with educational work and public campaigns. The association organizes research expeditions in the Mediterranean, raises awareness among the Swiss population about the consequences of marine animal consumption and campaigns for a more conscious use of our natural resources.

The guide developed by Rebel Communication "Against the current - the somewhat different guide to healthy living" confronts us with uncomfortable truths: 90 percent of the world's oceans are overfished, trawl nets destroy the seabed, fish farms promote disease and millions of animals die as bycatch. At the same time, the consumption of seafood is considered an indispensable source of health and enjoyment. The guide scrutinizes the fishing industry and our consumption and shows concrete alternatives for a healthy diet without seafood.

In contrast to conventional guides that recommend "more sustainable" fish species, "Gegen den Strom" takes a different approach: completely avoiding seafood while ensuring an optimal supply of nutrients. The guide can be ordered free of charge from the Kyma website.

The campaign designed for this effectively showcases the guide and calls for action: It's time to swim against the tide - for a healthy blue planet.
