New season for Openair-Gampel web series "Mitsch dri"

After a hiatus of nearly ten years, the festival satire «Mitsch dri – Backstage Openair Gampel» is back for a second season. The director, production team, and cast are breathing new life into this self-deprecating web series centered on the Valais music festival.

With the second season of "Mitsch dri", Openair Gampel is continuing its satirical web series - once again with a self-deprecating look behind the scenes of festival operations. The starting point is the fictional Openair 2024, which is coming under pressure due to a lack of diversity, a lack of modernity and other criticism. The organizing committee embarks on an absurd hero's journey in which all of the public's demands are to be implemented in an exaggerated manner - with the usual failure as a dramaturgical bracket.

The new season bears the signature of director Maximilian Speidel, who is known for his visual humor and his ironically pointed staging. The script was written in collaboration with Johannes Bachmann. The season was produced by the Zurich-based production company Shining Nice.

In terms of content, the second season builds on the success of the first, which was created in 2015 as a spontaneous reaction to the cancellation of Die Toten Hosen. This time too, the makers are relying on celebrity support: musicians such as Naomi Lareine and Pronto, national soccer player Alayah Pilgrim, cooking influencer Nadia Damaso and ESC star Nemo appear in satirical roles.

Also new to the cast is Annalena Miano, who will provide dynamism as intern Fränzi Amherd. The season is once again conceived as a web format and will be broadcast via the Openair Gampel channels.
