Studio Thom Pfister creates campaign for designer Javier Reyes

The agency Studio Thom Pfister created the spring/summer campaign of fashion designer Javier Reyes. Inspiration came from photographer David Hamilton and influencer Jenny Walton, among others.

To find the seasonal color palette, designer Javier Reyes works with moods, as he says: "Women are multifaceted, so I think myself into their different moods." Reyes is a person who wanders through alleys, galleries or big cities as a quiet, sociological observer - as he himself describes it: "Designers are sociologists at the same time".

So it is no coincidence that his current collection is inspired by Mexico's most famous architect Luis Barragán, the sensual seventies portraits of women by David Hamilton, the book "The Man in the Red Skirt" by Julian Barnes - but equally by the influencer Jenny Walton, who - as Javier Reyes finds - is "an Audrey Hepburn of our time".

The executing studio Thom Pfister says: "To swing into the leather saddle in a striped dress and not bat an eyelash in deep black mascara when the uneven Old Town cobblestones rattle - that would be entirely in the spirit of the Bernese garment maker, because it is the subtle, sensual nonchalance that he wants to convey. Or, to paraphrase Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn: The most beautiful (summer fashion) novels are experienced - not written."
