Spina's Civil Voices: Corporate responsibility is a matter of course
At the heart of Spinas Civil Voices’ campaign for the Responsible Business Initiative lies a value that is widely shared in our society: whoever causes harm should be held liable for it.
The referendum slogans briefly tell the stories of proven cases in which companies based in Switzerland have caused damage to people and the environment. But with a new, better ending, to which the moral sensibilities of broad sections of the population say yes: Commodity company liable. Agribusiness is liable. Because that is nothing but right and just.
