With the VBZ Volkswagens to Auto Zürich

Just in time for Auto Zürich, VBZ is showing which cars are the best way to get there with a new motif by Ruf Lanz.

In 2001, Ruf Lanz set the course for the VBZ campaign "Umsteigen lohnt sich", which positions streetcars and buses as a smart alternative to cars in the city of Zurich. "Not with missionary zeal, but in an unexpected and entertaining way. That's why the campaign still has many supporters among the people of Zurich today," explains Silvia Behofsits, Head of Corporate Communications at VBZ.

A successful side track of the campaign are current affairs advertisements relating to events and happenings in Zurich. The most recent ad is dedicated to Auto Zürich, now the largest car show in Switzerland. VBZ recommends its vehicles to all car fans for the journey there: Volkswagens in the truest sense of the word, as they transport over 800,000 people every day in a way that is easy on the nerves and the environment. What's more, VBZ Volkswagens have no parking problems and have right of way at all traffic lights in the city of Zurich.

The subject appears full-page in 20 Minuten and on social media and is part of a series of text ads with a topical reference. Another motif reveals the true distribution of seats in Zurich every four years when the newly elected Zurich City Council meets for its first session. And on World Climate Day, another motif reminds us who takes to the streets every day for the environment without making a fuss.
