The FDP Switzerland has launched its main campaign for the national elections on October 20. The slogan is: «Switzerland wants to move forward. Let’s make it happen.»

With this message, the FDP wants to show that the party wants to grab "the opportunities of the future". "We underline in our election campaign that we stand for progress," the FDP announced on Saturday.

The slogan "Let's make it happen" is intended to make it clear that the challenges in Switzerland will not solve themselves. In six themed posters on jobs, pensions, exports, digitization, working models and the environment, the FDP wants to show eligible voters where Switzerland should move forward.

According to the FDP, the posters have been optimized according to the findings of a data analysis. The FDP also wants to conduct an active election campaign in social media: The party is increasingly relying on video formats to communicate its content.

It is also using online advertising opportunities. In a broad-based Facebook campaign, all the demands from the position papers are to be played out to the population as so-called tiles (image motifs with short text). In this way, the party is also bringing the standard from the private sector into politics, the FDP states.

The only way to achieve the hoped-for electoral success is virtually: the door-to-door campaign has been rolled out nationally following the pilot project in Zurich, Lucerne and Baselland. The members of around 200 local parties are now hitting the road.

Behind the campaign is the Heimat Zürich agency, which has been responsible for the communicative fortunes of the FDP since 2019. Already in May, the campaign "Switzerland wants." lanicert (Werbewoche.ch reported). "We see the FDP as a brand," Managing Partner Simon Rehsche tells the Switzerland at the weekend. "To its core, we make a clear promise: Switzerland wants to get ahead. And those who want to should be able to get ahead - that's what the FDP is committed to." As a nation of will, will is something typical of Switzerland, says the advertiser. (SDA/hae)
