Crowdfunding deal Saas-Fee is implemented for the second time
The winter fairy tale in the Saas Valley continues. The winter ski pass will again be available for 222 francs during the 2017/18 season. The target of 77,777 people was reached two days before the crowdfunding campaign ended.

The Saas Valley is sticking to its revolutionary pricing concept: For the next winter season, the ski pass is once again available for CHF 222 thanks to another crowdfunding campaign. The sun-drenched ski resort of Saas-Grund is a new participant. "Thanks to the participation of Bergbahnen Hohsaas, winter sports enthusiasts will benefit from 40 additional kilometers of slopes, and that for a whole six months in the most snow-sure ski area in the Alps," says Rainer Flaig, Delegate of the Board of Directors of Saastal Bergbahnen. Winter Card holders can look forward to a total of over 150 kilometers of pistes in the Saas-Fee, Saas-Grund and Saas-Almagell ski areas for the coming winter.
Valid from November 2017 to April 2018, the new season tickets are also available. Saas-Fee has also decided to extend the deadline for registration by one day, until Sunday April 23, 2017, so that even those who decide at short notice still have the opportunity to benefit from the promotion.
Courage pays off
In the 2016/17 winter season, the ski resort recorded a 15 percent increase in hotel overnight stays and a 22 percent rise in arrivals compared to the previous year. While the Swiss mountain railroads recorded stagnating "Skier Days," Saas-Fee, on the other hand, registered an increase of over 50 percent. "We have seen with the Winter Card 2016/17 that the entire Saas Valley benefits from it; hotel industry, gastronomy and other businesses. Now we as a destination are optimally prepared for the next season and are already looking forward to welcoming guests," says Pascal Schär, CEO of Saastal Marketing. "We see the fact that at the end of the winter season 77,777 season passes have already been sold for the next season as a strong sign of guest satisfaction following the 2016/17 Winter Card campaign," concludes Roger Kalbermatten, Mayor of Saas-Fee.
