Innovation in printing: Deepest black on exclusive paper
Printmaking specialist Lorenz Boegli and artist Youri Laubscher are experimenting with new techniques and materials. Their work demonstrates how jet-black photogravure on high-quality paper expands the possibilities of modern printmaking.
Screen printing specialist Lorenz Boegli has collaborated with artist Youri Laubscher on a project that combines artistic precision and technical advancement. The work, an iris eye, was printed on Siro UltraBlack from Fedrigoni Special Papers.
The combination of Boegli's patented additive 4-color RGB printing with the special paper creates a play of light that expands the spectrum of print colors. Laubscher specifically adapted the digital template to the technical implementation in order to achieve the best possible effect.
The project illustrates how specialized printing techniques create not only aesthetic, but also new functional possibilities - for example for high-quality visual communication in art and brand presentations.
