Hej designs brand identity for summit divers

Coffee and croissants are an integral part of everyday life in Switzerland. Up and down the country, young and old dip croissants into their coffee drink of choice. The Zurich start-up Gipfelitaucher is now taking up this Swiss tradition and translating it into a new, urban food-to-go concept.

The puff pastry can be dipped directly into the pre-brewed coffee using a specially developed folding mechanism - a practical, playful enjoyment experience on the go. The prototype was developed in collaboration with a local bakery and coffee roastery as well as a regional dairy. For the time being, the Gipfelitaucher is available in three varieties: classic with cow's milk, vegan with double espresso and, for those who prefer matcha to coffee, as a matcha latte.

Visual appearance and campaign

For the launch, Zurich-based creative agency Hej developed the visual appearance, packaging design, digital presence and a campaign including merchandise items such as shirts, caps and bibs.

The product is currently in the prototyping phase and will initially be available in selected Zurich grocery stores. The founding team is looking for further investors and production partners for the nationwide market launch. The Gipfelitaucher team is convinced that their product can also help to reduce the current high milk surplus in Swiss agriculture in the medium term.

Gipfelitaucher shows that the country needs new products - especially when they combine tradition and innovation. In other words: «Made for the moment, ready for the road!»
