Heads develops brand identity for "Ariva" restaurant

Heads created the brand identity for the new gourmet restaurant «Ariva» on the shores of Lake Lugano—from naming to the logo, the website, and the menu design.

The brand design of "Ariva" - a play on the Italian words arrivare (to arrive) and riva (shore) - is inspired by the culinary lightness and honesty of chef Diego Bertona's creations. The summery signal colors "coral" and "lago" complement natural basic tones and reinforce the Mediterranean attitude to life on Lake Lugano. Sun and lake are referenced in the warm color scheme and flowing design language. The "Ariva" logo with its sans serif font is intended to convey clarity, minimalism and timelessness. In this way, it atmospherically accentuates the restaurant's attitude to life.

"We developed the design language in close collaboration with the architecture and design studio 'Selektiv'. The organic, rounded shapes in dialog with the selected materials and furniture lead to a harmonious overall picture," explains Marco Simonetti, Creative Director at Heads.
