World premiere: Teads launches first chatbot in video ads
For the first time, Teads is enabling users to interact directly with a video ad. Tommy Hilfiger’s chatbot «TMY.GRL» was integrated into the inRead outstream video ad format for this purpose.

In addition to Facebook Messenger, Tommy Hilfiger now has another option in the area of conversational commerce. Within the video ad, users are prompted by a call-to-action to start the chatbot. The chatbot reacts dynamically to the user's time of day, for example with a friendly "Good Morning - Chat to us" at the beginning of the conversation.
The chatbot integration into the outstream video ad format was implemented by Teads Studio (formerly Brainient). The campaign initially runs in English with the Teads formats inRead Landscape (desktop) and inRead Vertical (Mobile).
Tommy Hilfiger has developed its chatbot in collaboration with Msg.ai to help customers worldwide discover the new collection, identify their own tastes and desired clothing size. The products suggested by the chatbot can then be purchased by the customer through a redirect to Tommy.com, where the discussed items are already ready for purchase in the shopping cart.
Bertrand Quesada, CEO of Teads, is convinced that this form of perosnalization further enhances the customer experience and user experience of outstream video advertising: "The integration clearly shows what is possible in terms of innovative advertising when a forward-thinking brand and a passionate technology team work closely together. We are confident that many more campaigns of this nature will follow as other brands realize the possibilities of chatbot integration within video advertising."
