Mbusiness puts Schlieren in the spotlight with TikTok account
Schlieren is reaching a young audience with a new TikTok channel. Launched in February, the "visit.schlieren" account already has 150,000 views and 4,000 likes, according to figures. The Schlieren-based agency Mbusiness, which specializes in social media marketing, is behind the account.

The aim is to present the city as an attractive place to live, work and spend leisure time. Managing Director Mischa Birnstiel emphasizes: "It is important to us to give Schlieren a stage on social media where the city can show itself from its best side."
Schlieren has undergone economic and urban development in recent years. The Riedpark site has created new residential space on former industrial land, while companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Louis Widmer and Roche have discovered the location for themselves.
The name "visit.schlieren" is based on the social media presences of other cities such as Zurich or Lucerne and is also intended to appeal to visitors from the region. The high level of interaction is particularly noteworthy: many of the videos are not only viewed, but also saved and shared. One video about the restaurant La Qualità was particularly well received: it reached over 50,000 views within 24 hours.
According to the agency the channel The social media platform will be further expanded with videos about local businesses, restaurants and events. This shows how cities can make targeted use of social media to shape their image.
