No big jumps in the storyclash ranking of the month of June
In June 2017, much remains the same in the Swiss social media landscape. Swissinfo made the biggest leap, moving up 11 spots.

LikeMag loses 17.6 percent in June, but still remains uncatchable for the trailing competitor Blick in terms of the interactions achieved in social media - namely Facebok. 20 Minuten gains 11 percent, but only makes up one rank. In general, the Top10 loses some, but loses little. This is not surprising, as the Swiss media together achieve almost 7 percent fewer interactions than in May.
Swissinfo in particular stands out in the top 30: The public news and information platform, which is aimed at foreigners interested in Switzerland and the Swiss abroad, increased its interactions by almost 200 percent and made the biggest leap forward, gaining eleven places. The reason for this is, among other things, the Facebook-shared Article about Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, who is accused of war crimes by a Geneva-based pro-Palestine organization.
FM1 Today also achieved a remarkable increase of 93.4 percent compared to the previous month. RTS (+33.8%), Südostschweiz (+25.1%) and TeleZüri (+22.3%) also still have no signs of a summer slump.
Zurich private radio stations defy LikeMag
The top 10 "Top Posts" in June are in pure video hands - and LikeMag dominates. Only the two Zurich-based private radio stations Energy and Planet 105 prevent the interaction specialist from going it alone. Energy recycles the Despacito video, which was already successful in May, while Planet 105 drives into the Top 5 for the third consecutive month with the 107km/h fast scooter - and towards the 500,000 interactions in no time at all.
As in May, the Basler Zeitung also provided the best-placed newspaper article in June: The article "When will Europe wake up?" landed in 15th place and not only generated a lot of feedback on Facebook, but also 560 reader comments. The BlickPost about the sniper whose bullet flew 5 seconds before killing an IS fighter still makes it into the top 20.
The Austrian start-up Storyclash records social interaction with media content. Every month, the Social News Ranking shows which media providers performed how well and which were the posts with the most interactions. Werbewoche publishes the ranking exclusively in Switzerland. (hae)
