Blick and Izzy swap places in April's Storyclash ranking
April on social media in Switzerland was like the weather: not very inspiring. Blick am Abend, NZZ and Le Matin provided a ray of hope.

A strong March was followed by a less spectacular April: most Swiss media brands achieved fewer interactions on social media than in the previous month. All titles in the top 5 lost ground, Izzy at 14 percent is even considerable. Since View with 3 percent less than the direct competition, the Ringier title makes up two places, overtakes 20 minutes and takes the lead. Izzy is now in fourth place, just ahead of SRF.
This has Izzy actually performed strongly as usual in terms of postings: four of the ten most successful posts in April came from the Ringier youth portal.
Celebrating a comeback in April Evening view. The former commuter evening newspaper, whose print edition was discontinued last year and lives on as a digital brand in the Blick Group, is showing clear signs of life with a 16% increase in interaction. As the gap to the top (SRF) is too large, this has not (yet?) resulted in an improvement in position. Also strong in April: NZZ. The New Zurich Newspaper increased its interactions by almost 20 percent, moving up two places.
The post that triggered the most interactions in April was written by Le Temps and is about an indigenous victory in court against the oil industry in Ecuador. The top 10 shared articles show once again that Facebook still works very well to mobilize readers in French-speaking Switzerland: Seven out of ten articles originate from French-speaking Switzerland.
The Austrian start-up Storyclash records social interaction with media content. Every month, the social news ranking shows which media providers have performed well and which were the posts with the most interactions. The Advertising Week publishes the Swiss ranking exclusively.
