Serviceplan promotes creative young talent
Serviceplan will be a partner of "The Young Ones" competition and festival, both of which will take place as part of the "One Show" in New York at the beginning of May 2014. With the "Get under their skin" campaign, the agency is calling on students worldwide to participate.
Students from all over the world can submit their work until March 7, 2014. With around 3,000 entries from more than 25 countries, "The Young Ones" festival, which has been held annually since 2005, is one of the world's largest competitions for young talent in the creative industry. The Young Ones" is organized by New York's "The One Club," which also organizes the renowned annual "One Show" creative competition.
The Serviceplan Group will now be a partner of "The Young Ones" and - in order to draw attention to the young talent competition worldwide - has developed an integrated campaign that will start in mid-October: posters and flyers will be on display at universities, various banners will be used on websites of universities, graphic design, design and art portals; the campaign will also attract attention in the field of e-mail marketing and on various social media platforms. In addition, Serviceplan has launched the website Theyoungones.org on which participants submit their work. The centerpieces are motifs with colorful illustrations that use prompts such as "Catch Eyes" or "Melt Hearts" to encourage participants to work out the two creative tasks advertised. Serviceplan will also organize the "Student Exhibition," which annually showcases outstanding work from selected universities.
Two tasks - infinitely many possible solutions
Two themes are available for contest participants to choose from: The open briefing, entitled "Save Art," calls on students to design a campaign that answers questions about why art plays an important role in our lives; whether art can improve the world, why it is worth paying for - there are no limits to the topic. The second topic, on the other hand, is a concrete brief for the implementation of a campaign for the fashion brand "Organic by John Patrick." Here, the students have to develop an integrated concept - from logo design, corporate identity, print ads, TV commercials and online advertising media to a website or a mobile app.
