Blockbuster in flipbook format

The cross-media agency Noise has created a flipbook out of countless Post-it notes. The elaborate short film showcases the variety of 3M sticky notes.

Everyone knows Post-it stickers. But what most people don't know: There are 350 Post-it products in all colors, shapes and sizes. To bring this fact closer to customers, a promotional team is touring Switzerland and drawing attention to the variety of Post-it products. The centerpiece of this roadshow is a short film, which is shown on a large display. The film, consisting of many flipbooks, shows a little man's hunt for the really big idea. The almost 3-minute spot was created in painstaking detail - sheet by sheet exclusively on Post-it Notes. It was accompanied by the rocking sound of the Hamburg band Bambikonzept.

Just a few days after its release on YouTube, the film has already recorded over 28,000 views, Noise is pleased to report. On the microsite Mypostit.ch users can also upload their own film, view all other films in a gallery and, with a little luck, win a new iPad. The site is conceived and programmed in a responsive design, meaning that the content is optimally displayed on different end devices. With the Where-to-Buy application, users can also see at a glance where they can buy their Post-it Notes.

Mediarena/Mediavision: Richard David Precht as guest

As part of the Publisuisse Mediavision event on April 23, Richard David Precht will speak on «Morality and the Role of the Media and Brands in Society.» He will expand on these ideas at the Goldbach Mediarena on May 15.

Based on considerations about morality, responsibility and the change of values, he gives an outlook on how the task of technology has changed over time - and with what consequences. "In the history of mankind, technology served man for survival, culture for living together. Today, on the other hand, technology is increasingly serving coexistence," Precht said. "Only if we permanently and repeatedly anchor the guiding values of our culture in the world of technical coexistence will its role be a salutary one."

As part of the Goldbach Mediarena on May 15, Richard David Precht continues his ideas. In his lecture, he talks about the acceleration that comes with digitization and technological progress and the "importance of efficiency in today's society." "Too much efficiency is inefficient," says Richard David Precht. "How creative, for example, are efficient employees?". In his lecture, Precht warns against excessive striving for perfection and optimization and points out possible alternatives.

Registrations for the Goldbach Mediarena are still open until May 6, 2013. here possible.

Next round in the ratings debacle

It seems the ratings debacle is entering a new phase. The super-provisional injunction against the publication of data from Mediapulse’s new TV panel now explicitly applies to the affected TV stations and marketing agencies as well.

As 20 Minuten writes, SRF could now even be threatened with legal action because it has already made the figures public. However, a lawsuit is not very likely. As the Nidwalden High Court confirmed to Werbewoche.ch, the extension of the publication ban is merely an extension of the existing provisional injunction.

SRF and Tele Züri communicated their data at the beginning of April, despite the superprovisional injunction (Werbewoche.ch reported). The publication was made on the grounds that the order was only addressed to Mediapulse. The Nidwalden High Court has now explicitly contradicted this, according to 20 Minuten. SRF and Tele Züri had therefore violated the injunction. They face a fine of up to CHF 10,000. At the request of 20 Minuten, the broadcaster left open whether 3+ would take legal action against the offending broadcasters.
