Evoq relaunches Lustenberger 1862 cheese brand

Lustenberger 1862 is a hard cheese produced according to an original recipe and time-honored tradition. Following a brand audit, Evoq relaunched the cheese brand on behalf of Lustenberger & Dürst.

Lustenberger 1862 is available exclusively at Aldi Switzerland. Processed according to an old family recipe and traditional craftsmanship, the loaves mature under the loving supervision of the Maîtres Affineurs for 180 days in the family cellar into an unmistakably flavorful cheese - as original and genuine as Switzerland itself.

The positioning was described in a brand story and brought to the point with the claim. The design was built up from matching graphic elements, with particular attention paid to impact at the P.O.S. and a high-quality staging. The new design was also adapted to the website. The company Lustenberger & Dürst from Hünenberg refines and distributes numerous high-quality Swiss cheese varieties and brands and exports them to various countries.

Responsible at Lustenberger & Dürst: Richard Gander, Carmen Sanchez. Responsible at Evoq: Christian Sutter, Susanne Pfäffli (Consulting, Text), Christoph Stalder (Design Direction), Hanna Meier (Design).

Swiss like time-shifted television use

Mediapulse's new TV measurement system makes it possible, for the first time, to measure time-shifted TV viewing. Time-shifted TV viewing is already relatively common throughout Switzerland, especially in French-speaking Switzerland.

Technologies such as the replay function, pause button and video archives make it possible today to shape the TV program according to one's own wishes. The missed series is caught up on the next evening and the Sunday evening movie is briefly put on pause for a visit to the toilet.

With the introduction of a new measurement system for television consumption in Switzerland this year, it is possible for the first time to measure these new forms of consumption and put them into figures. It is clear that the Swiss are making diligent use of these new technologies: Across Switzerland as a whole, more than one in twenty minutes of television is already watched time-shifted. This is shown by the figures for the first half of 2013 published today by Mediapulse and Publica Data. Time-shifted TV use is particularly widespread in the more technology-savvy French-speaking part of Switzerland (digitization is also most advanced in this part of the country). At 6.6 percent, the average proportion of time-shifted use is even higher in French-speaking Switzerland than in German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, where it is 5.3 percent and 5.0 percent respectively. Time-shifted use is clearly most widespread in the classic advertising target group of 15-49 year olds.

Overall, Mr. and Mrs. German-speaking Swiss watch an average of 137 minutes of TV a day. This value is in the new measurement system, slightly lower than in the previous year. However, the new values cannot be compared directly with the old ones, as the new measurement system not only records new usage, but also modernizes various general conditions.

St. Galler Tagblatt acquires Wiler Zeitung

The St. Galler Tagblatt will take over the publishing rights to the Wiler Zeitung and the local newspaper Alttoggenburger from the Wiler Zeitung as of the beginning of 2014, according to a joint announcement by the two publishing houses. No jobs are expected to be lost as a result of the change in ownership.

Wiler Zeitung is a 100 percent subsidiary of Druckerei Flawil. The takeover of the two newspaper titles is the result of a swap deal: Druckerei Flawil is giving up its publishing rights in return for shares in the St. Galler Tagblatt, which is controlled by the NZZ Group, according to the press release. The parties have agreed not to disclose the takeover price. The deal is important for the St. Galler Tagblatt, company director Daniel Ehrat is quoted as saying in Wednesday's St. Galler Tagblatt. Synergies could be exploited and the regional editions in the Wil region could be optimized. The Wiler Zeitung is currently published with 13,500 copies as one of seven Tagblatt regional editions.

New movie program "Kinowetter" on S1

"Box Office" on SRF was discontinued at the end of June. Now there is a replacement on S1. From December 12, the Portmann Group will be presenting a weekly film program "Kinowetter" on the new channel.

Every Monday, the weather is once again a major topic for film distributors. If it was good, it was bad for the movies. If the weather was really bad, it was good "cinema weather". Film journalist Philipp Portmann has not only listened to these discussions for years. They also gave him an idea. The founder of the Portmann Group, which already provides information about the cinema for a wide range of media from SRF to Tele Züri and 20 Minuten, has Kinowetter.ch purchased. In December, a new contact point for film fans will be launched around this website.

The cross-media project links cinema and weather by presenting movie previews together with the latest weather forecasts. Yesterday, "Kinowetter" was presented to Swiss film distributors and triggered a lot of sunshine in response. S1's management is also convinced by the concept. From December 12, "Kinowetter" will therefore be broadcast on the new channel every Thursday at 18:50. The informative cinema magazine with reviews, background reports and interviews is still looking for a sponsor. However, everything else is "in the dry", as Philipp Portmann will reveal in an interview in the next print edition of Werbewoche. The project is being marketed by Publicitas Cinecom.

BSSM brings out great small

For the K 2013 trade show in Düsseldorf, the BSSM agency created a new trade show booth for Otto Hofstetter.

For Otto Hofstetter, a global supplier of injection molds for the production of pet bottle blanks and thin-wall packaging, K 2013 is an important platform for global business. The trade fair attracts around 250,000 visitors.

BSSM broke new ground for the presentation, writes BSSM in a press release on Wednesday. Based on the idea of "think big, show small", the agency had 3D prints of the products produced on a scale of 1:10. The tools, which otherwise weigh tons, were presented in glass showcases like pieces of jewelry. According to Sales and Marketing Manager Stefan Zatti, the miniatures were a crowd puller and the stand design was praised many times as unique. Otto Hofstetter also rated the appearance in Düsseldorf as a complete success.

Responsible at Otto Hofstetter: Stefan Zatti (overall responsibility). Responsible at BSSM: Urs Schneider (CD), Hannes Müller (text/concept), Pascal Rehmann (AD), Imke Fichtner (production), Sylvia Halbeisen, Cornelia Gabrielli (consulting). Stand construction: Heilmaier.
