Jäger & Gejagte has been working as an online marketing agency for companies in Eastern Switzerland since 2012. With a broad range of services from strategy development to campaign management on the web, Jäger & Gejagte has been able to successfully assert itself on the market in recent years, according to a press release issued on Friday. As a Rheintal-based company, the agency has been able to attract well-known clients from the canton of St.Gallen, Lichtenstein and neighboring cantons in particular.

"After four years, it was time to review the strategy," says Michael Jäger, founder and owner of Jäger & Gejagte. "What we lacked above all was a high-performance development department." This was almost completely outsourced to India until the end of June.

Webstobe from Appenzell, which has been working for companies throughout German-speaking Switzerland since 2001, is therefore taking over the projects and clients of Jäger & Gejagte as of July 1, 2016. The merger will allow the new synergies to be put to good use and competencies to be strengthened and expanded.

This increases the team to 16 employees

The former Managing Director of Jäger & Gejagte, Michael Jäger, and developer Robert Di Michele have joined the Webstobe team. Among other things, they will ensure the support and care of Jäger & Gejagte's customers. Michelle Schmidheini (Project Management / Social Media), Mario Knecht (Frontend Development) and Sandro Huber (SEO / SEA Consultant) have also joined the Webstobe team.

"With 16 new employees, Webstobe will become one of the larger players in the Eastern Swiss Internet scene and will be able to convincingly cover the entire value chain in the online communication mix," says Paddy Gloor, owner and managing director of the web agency.

Open Up: New name and brand identity for the Ruedi Lüthy Foundation

At the beginning of July, the Ruedi Lüthy Foundation changed its name and renewed its brand identity at the same time. Open Up provided strategic support throughout the entire rebranding process and Albanese Grafik renewed the corporate design.

Open Up has been advising and supporting the foundation in all communication matters since 2009. Professor Ruedi Lüthy set up the Swiss Aids Care International Foundation more than 13 years ago. It runs the Newlands Clinic in Harare, Zimbabwe, a facility for people with HIV and Aids, and trains local specialists on an ongoing basis. To ensure that Ruedi Lüthy's name, the knowledge associated with it and his great commitment are carried forward in the long term, the foundation commissioned its long-standing communications agency Open Up to develop a new name. The corporate design was renewed by Albanese Grafik, a graphic design studio with which Open Up regularly collaborates.

Personal name and concise claim

The new foundation name Ruedi Lüthy Foundation and the adapted visual brand identity stand for personal commitment, a holistic approach to the treatment of HIV patients as well as solidarity and reliability. The newly conceived claim "Act against Aids" has been deliberately chosen as a concise supporting message for the logo. It unites the foundation's activities with an appeal to its long-standing strong donor base and to new potential donors.

"Transparency and active information about our work in Zimbabwe is very important to us. Our new means of communication take account of these needs and the new technological requirements," says Sabine Lüthy, Managing Director of the foundation and daughter of Ruedi Lüthy. The following have been realized so far new website as well as the first print products as part of the patron and donor information relating to the name change.

Max Meister, co-founder of the Swiss Startup Factory: "Effective marketing is essential in today's world. For startups, the digital channel is usually the first and often the only channel through which they generate leads and sales. Collaboration with the experienced marketing specialists at Y&R Group Switzerland is therefore key to the success of our startups and also an important reason why young entrepreneurs apply for our accelerator program."

Thanks to the international network of the Y&R Group Switzerland (which belongs to Y&R and Wunderman), the startups also have the opportunity to gain international experience after successfully completing the program in Zurich: Y&R Group Switzerland arranges stays of several weeks in Y&R offices in major cities around the world. There, the start-ups are not only provided with a workplace, but also have the opportunity to receive advice from the local specialists. They can also establish contacts with venture capitalists and potential business partners in the respective markets.

Andreas Widmer, CEO of Y&R Group Switzerland: "In the age of digitalization, start-ups can only be successful if they think and act globally. We have seen this time and again on the "Game Changer" study trips that we regularly organize for our clients. Because we maintain an intensive exchange of ideas with start-ups not only in Zurich, but throughout the entire Y&R network, we can offer the young entrepreneurs of the Swiss Startup Factory the opportunity to review and perfect their business model in London, Barcelona, New York or Dubai, for example."

The Swiss Startup Factory accelerator program has been held twice a year since 2014 and starts in January and September. Blinkers, Carhelper and Struckd, for example, have already benefited from the cooperation between the Swiss Startup Factory and the Y&R Group Switzerland.

Wordplay relies on unusual business model and expands team

The agency Wortspiel, which specializes in Google AdWords, is testing new forms of collaboration and is pleased about strong team growth. Stefan Vetter, founder and owner of the agency, presents the new, success-based business model.

The Swiss agency landscape is in upheaval. Classic full-service agencies are facing growing competition from smaller, agile and highly specialized competitors. Stefan Vetter sees this as an opportunity. The visionary sets a unique direction with his unusual, success-based agency model - and with success: since its founding, Wortspiel has posted steadily rising sales. "I believe that agencies of the future should try out new forms of collaboration both with clients and within the team," says Vetter. "Very well received in the market is our business model, in which our fee depends on concrete goals that we agree with our clients. The greater their success, the more we earn." Conversely, this means that if the agency delivers less than it promised, it earns nothing. "I don't know of any agency in the German-speaking world that consistently implements this model and takes full risks itself," adds Vetter.

Contract-free and location-independent collaboration

Vetter is also breaking new ground in terms of collaboration within the team. "I believe that successful collaboration does not depend on contracts between my team and me, but on whether we have common goals and values." His partners, who now number seven, share Vetter's vision: "I'm happy to be part of this team - precisely because we don't have to gag ourselves with contracts and at the same time we are and remain independent entrepreneurs," emphasizes Aurel Gergey, Senior AdWords Consultant and copywriter at Wortspiel. The fact that collaboration without contracts has demonstrably worked extremely well at Wortspiel for 19 months is not the only thing that makes the Zurich agency so exceptional: "We also work remotely," adds Vetter enthusiastically. In practice, this means that "each of us punters works in the place where we are happiest and most productive," says Vetter. With today's technology, he says, it is no longer necessary in the agency business to work tied to a specific location.

New in the team: Jeannette Scherrer, Mario Thomsen and Toni Ricciardelli

Since the beginning of 2016, three new team members have already joined Wortspiel. These include Mario Thomsen, one of the top ten contributors to the official German-language AdWordsCommunity, and Toni Ricciardelli, Senior Consultant for Facebook Ads. The first woman on the team is Jeannette Scherrer. The business communicator is an experienced agency project manager and lecturer in search engine marketing at the Klubschule Migros.

NZZ discontinues print supplement "NZZ Toolbox

"NZZ Toolbox" will appear for the last time in the fall as a supplement of the "Neue Zürcher Zeitung. The NZZ now wants to address young people directly at schools via various formats in order to familiarize them with quality journalism and introduce them to the NZZ brand.

toolbox-t_0

In May 2015, the NZZ launched the youth supplement "NZZ Toolbox" and thus for the first time a journalistic format specifically tailored to the needs of young people. "NZZ Toolbox" was previously included four times a year in the Saturday edition of the "Neue Zürcher Zeitung". After a good year, the NZZ is taking stock. "In order to make the NZZ brand known to young people, we need to address this target group more than four times a year and more directly," explains Steven Neubauer, Managing Director of NZZ Medien. The last issue of the youth supplement will therefore be published on September 24, 2016.

The experience with "NZZ Toolbox" had shown that young people are interested in quality journalism. The willingness of young, talented writers to work on a journalistic project was great. In the future, the NZZ wants to make better use of this potential and approach young people directly through cooperation projects with schools. Pilot projects are already underway at individual high schools. For example, NZZ accompanies schools as a partner in media weeks, supports students in their school newspaper projects, and makes newspapers available to schools for classroom use. Based on these experiences, the NZZ will adapt and supplement the various formats and eventually roll them out to more schools.

Franco Monti becomes President of Smama

smama

Andreas Schönenberger, CEO of Salt, built up the association with Fritz Reust and the Board of Directors. "As Smama needs a president who is independent of mobile operators, I am happy to hand over my position to Franco Monti, a highly competent expert, particularly in the areas of mobile and technology. I am convinced that he will personally shape and further develop Smama and wish him every success," Schönenberger was quoted as saying in a press release on Friday.

After many years as a partner in international consulting companies, Franco Monti founded his own company, Monti Stampa Furrer & Partner, at the beginning of 2016, which also makes his experience available to the telecoms and media sectors, among others. He sees his role at Smama as follows: "mama and to provide members with additional, interesting offers.

submit."

Smama sees itself as a competence center and driving force for the mobile networked world and the associated transformation of society and the economy in Switzerland. Monti sees significant growth potential for the association in the constantly growing use of the Internet via mobile and the Internet of Things.

Further changes to the Board of Directors were also confirmed at the Annual General Meeting at the Museum of Digital Art in Zurich. The Smama management changed at the turn of the year. Joachim Hagger, Partner and CEO of 4Quant and member of the Board of Directors of Netcetera, took over responsibility from Fritz Reust, co-founder and CEO of Smama, who remains on the Board. Manuel Michaud succeeds his Microsoft colleague Siwan Levy. Marion Marxer, marxerevolution, who will contribute her expertise in 'Digital Transition', is also a new member of Smama's management board. The annual financial statements were approved at the AGM and the actions of the Board of Directors were ratified and confirmed without dissenting votes.
