Unique seeks barbecue champions for Lidl

Just in time for the barbecue season, Lidl launches a communication offensive. This includes three TV spots developed by Unikat and realized in partnership with Manifesto Films.

The spots and other communication measures also feature long-time brand ambassadors René Schudel and Christian Stucki, both of whom have the relevant thematic expertise. Schudel, as a well-known TV chef, is predestined for culinary matters, and Christian Stucki, the star swinger, is a meat products supplier in his "civilian" life. But the real heroes of the spots are ordinary barbecue fans who mutate into not-so-ordinary barbecue freaks - after all, the point is not to miss anything on the way to becoming a barbecue champion with recipes, tips and various competitions. The films will be broadcast from May onwards and will be accompanied by online and POS measures as well as a dedicated Microsite.

Pinkup opens new doors for Newhome.ch

Anyone looking for a new apartment can find it on Newhome.ch, the real estate portal of 16 cantonal banks. The Zurich-based agency Pinkup Dialogmarketing staged this message in a surprising way with an ambient campaign.

In the parking garage of the Luzerner Kantonalbank, elevator doors were quickly converted into apartment doors. The elevator doors on several parking garage floors were covered with target group-specific entrance portals - and fitted with the matching floor mat adhesive. When you enter the elevator, windows open to the outside - just like in a real apartment. This eye-catcher catches the eye of elevator users and ensures that the following message sticks: Anyone looking for a new apartment or house has the best prospects on Newhome.ch.

The multilingual advertising film sends the two well-known mountain people Sebi and Paul together with friends in style in a vintage postbus on the unique Swiss adventure route. Parallel to the commercial, a FaroTV crew shot a video reportage about the filming. This not only gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the filming, but also provides additional information about UBS's commitment through interviews.

40 years of the Eastern Switzerland PR Association

PROL, the Eastern Switzerland Association of PR and Communications Specialists, recently held its 40th General Assembly. In addition to two new members on the board, newly launched professional training programs are bringing a breath of fresh air to the PR industry in Eastern Switzerland.

President Anita Schweizer welcomed 30 members to the anniversary general meeting of the Public Relations Society of Eastern Switzerland/Liechtenstein (PROL). They were able to take note of healthy finances and a wide range of activities. There were two changes to the board: Dominik Joos and Cornelia Lutz stepped down for professional reasons after several years of service. The AGM elected Robert Stadler, Head of Communications at IHK St.Gallen-Appenzell, and Nora Fuchs, consultant at the communications agency Yjoo, as new members of the board. Thanks to its cooperation with the neighboring regional associations of the German and Austrian PR associations, the PROL is also internationally networked. At the end of May, it will make an appearance at the European Communications Convention. This conference for communications specialists from all over Europe is taking place this year in Rorschach and Bregenz.

New training and further education courses

On the initiative of PROL, Celaris, the St. Gallen-based school of KV Ost, has launched a further education program in PR and communication. Anita Schweizer was very pleased about this, as professional communication requires sound training. The fact that this gap in the offering in Eastern Switzerland could be filled thanks to the cooperation with the KV is an important sign. Companies and institutions have difficulty recruiting well-trained communication specialists in the region. In addition, PR professionals need to continuously train themselves in order to keep pace with the changes in digitalization and the media.

Blue Spirit brings Salt into the business

The brand experience takes place in the stores. As of Monday, the public can marvel at Salt from the outside and inside, touch it, feel it, experience it. Blue Spirit has made sure of that. With around 230 new POS tools.

Launching a new brand at the POS is a daunting task. All the more so for 84 stores in one fell swoop. For consumers, it's almost unimaginable: Blue Spirit redesigned around 230 different POS tools for Salt, specified suitable materials and papers, designed and defined everything, and had it produced for the deadline.

1_POS-Poster

The clear goal: the brand and its values should resonate in every tool. Personal, simple, without frippery. This included the new magazines for the launch and the stores in large print runs, all vehicle lettering, tactical communication with co-ads, POS posters, subscription flyers, folders, stickers, sales folders; many small details such as stickers for the entrance door, signs for ticket issue, coffee mugs, receipt pads; special brand experiences such as charger stations, cab lettering, mobile safes and lottery stations for events, office decorations and much, much more. The act of violence was done with a lot of heart and soul, so that the whole of Switzerland can experience Salt live and share the joy of the new brand.

Silence since summer 2014

Blue Spirit worked on this project for more than nine months under the strictest secrecy, in a room specially set up for this purpose, accessible only via fingerprint scanner, with IT detached from the regular infrastructure. Initially with just two, later with a good dozen employees.

Ovaltine can do it longer and longer

One of Switzerland's most successful brand campaigns goes into the next round: "You can't do better with Ovaltine. But longer." Leo Burnett delivers on the energy promise once again.

The two new image films show what is probably the most enduring freeski course of all time, which can sometimes extend into the summer. Or the highly motivated, but unfortunately somewhat clumsy beginners in stand-up paddling, who do not let themselves be distracted in their enthusiasm even by the onset of winter. The two spots were shot by director Pep Bosch, who gave the films the right amount of whimsicality.

Responsible at Leo Burnett Switzerland: Pablo Schencke, Johannes Raggio (creation), Johannes Raggio (ECD), Michael Gassler, Fiona Gottwald, Tobias Schoen (consulting), Suzana Kovacevic (FFF). Last but not least: The press release

Being a press secretary is no walk in the park. Especially when journalists keep pestering you with questions, even though everything is already in the press release. German government spokesperson Seibert has nothing to add.

The role of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) in the NSA affair has turned into a major Scandal developed. For years, the BND spied on European companies and politicians on behalf of the NSA and is now being described as a "stooge" and "branch office" of the US intelligence services - if the Left has its way, the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office will now even investigate treason.

On Thursday, the German government provided information about the new BND scandal. Government spokesman Steffen Seibert announced that the Federal Chancellery had "identified technical and organizational deficits at the BND" and "immediately issued instructions to rectify them".

Any questions? The media representatives at the press conference convened the following day had. Unsurprisingly, given the explosive nature of the issue. The only problem was that the German government didn't want to and couldn't actually say any more about it than it had already written. All that is needed now is a capable man to face up to the rebellious press and make this clear to them. A summary of the press conference by Tilo Jung / Youngandnaive.com gives a good overview of what you have missed. All statements are from the conference on Friday, April 24, 2015 (hae).
