The Zurich agency knows exactly where this target group likes to hang out: on hiking and walking trails. Until further notice, there are now Baby F12 posters there that are particularly appealing to four-legged friends - at least the male ones: they are scented with the smell of a female dog in heat. According to the press release from Matter and Gretener, the picture shows what the dogs like to see most: the rear end of a fellow dog.

FC Barcelona is honored by the German-Swiss Sponsoring Association for its social commitment with the Innovation Award of the International Sponsoring Awards. The club has shown a strong commitment to the welfare and rights of children for many years.
FC Barcelona, one of the most successful football clubs in the world, has taken an unusual and courageous step to help children in developing countries, according to FASPO. The focus is on AIDS prevention in Africa. The Spanish club allows its players to play with the lettering of the children's aid organization UNICEF on their shirts. As part of the matches broadcast throughout the country, the club uses this to promote UNICEF and achieve an extraordinarily high level of awareness for the organization. In addition, FC Barcelona supports UNICEF with donations in the millions, as FASPO writes in a communiqué.

The award ceremony will take place on January 16, 2007 in Hamburg as part of a symposium.

The Basel advertising agency Mrg has won the budget for the new campaign of the Basel Autumn Goods Fair (BHWM). In a competitive presentation by MCH Swiss Exhibition, it was able to prevail against two other agencies.
After Baselworld and Giardina Zurich, this makes BHWM the third MCH trade fair that Mrg can count among its clients. For the current campaign for BHWM, Mrg has developed a new communication concept including logo and claim. These will be used on the homepage and in advertisements in the regional daily and weekly press as well as in special interest titles. A poster display in the F4 and F12 formats in the region and in southern Germany is also planned. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the BHWM as an independent trade fair for the general public. Last year, it welcomed around 120,000 visitors with 283 exhibitors.

Rapping Swiss artists top at VIVA Switzerland

VIVA Switzerland has published its clip statistics for 2006: Of the 15 most-played clips last year, five were by national artists. The dialect rappers Breitbild and Gimma even made it to first and second place in the annual ranking.
This is all the more pleasing given that VIVA uses official Telecontrol data to constantly monitor the audience ratings and acceptance of the clips it broadcasts. The broadcaster sees the good performance of Swiss musicians as proof of the quality of Swiss pop music, which, according to music director Christian Kramer, no longer needs to shy away from international comparison. The dialect rappers were particularly well received: in the national evaluation, the six best-placed clips all belong to this genre. The Lovebugs followed in seventh place with an English pop/rock track.

No advertising in German in South Tyrol

The Roman government has prohibited the province of South Tyrol from using the "South Tyrol" umbrella brand in a single language. The province now plans to challenge the decision in the highest court.

The Roman government has prohibited the province of South Tyrol from using the South Tyrol umbrella brand in one language. The province now intends to appeal against the decision to the highest court. Until now, it was customary for South Tyrol to be referred to only as "Alto Adige" in Italy, for example.
" and had only advertised with "South Tyrol" in German-speaking countries. The government under Prime Minister Romano Prodi considers this to be a violation of the constitution. He lodged an objection against a corresponding law, as reported by the SDA. After the government meeting, South Tyrol's governor Luis Durnwalder pointed out that the monolingual usage had been used for years. The decision in Rome was incomprehensible. The province will therefore get involved in the legal dispute.

Last but not least: Advertisers are the better literati

The news must have been a slap in the face for any writer with literary ambitions who spends his life at the poet's table without a livelihood, but full of words and wit: a Swiss advertiser has been awarded the 2006 Torso Prize for Literature.

The news must have been a slap in the face for any writer with literary ambitions who spends his life at the poet's table without a livelihood, but full of words and wit: a Swiss advertiser has been awarded the 2006 Torso Prize for Literature.
And it's not really the case that advertisers are known for their subtlety or particular sophistication in their use of language. Often they are not even noticeably more imaginative than the average wool-sweater-clad poet. They also generally have an inadequate command of the comma rules, as the agencies' media releases prove countless times over (Werbewoche has numerous such gems of experimental punctuation).

So how is it that the Swiss advertising man René Egger recently received the literary prize from the renowned German literary magazine Torso in Munich? Well, the jury found Egger's socially critical text "der Einbaum" to be a captivating migration grotesque and, in view of the tightening of Swiss asylum laws that have just come into force, also highly topical.

So from now on, advertisers are also responsible for high-level literary social criticism. PS: The next Torso Prize has already been announced, the theme is water. Let's get to it!

Günther Jauch turns ARD down

ARD had already firmly expected Jauch to succeed Sabine Christiansen as the presenter of a political talk show. Now the popular TV presenter has canceled, as he was supposed to work "exclusively as a journalist" for ARD.

ARD had already firmly expected Jauch to succeed Sabine Christiansen as the presenter of a political talk show. Now the popular TV presenter has canceled, as he was supposed to work "exclusively as a journalist" for ARD.
In addition to the journalistic exclusivity, ARD had also insisted that he should take over another program, according to a DPA statement. However, Jauch did not want to commit himself beyond Sunday evening. Another reason given by the presenter was that ARD wanted to transfer responsibility for his show to the editors-in-chief. In Jauch's opinion, this would have exposed the show to the constant risk of becoming a pawn in the political color theory within ARD.

Jauch regrets that he was unable to reach an agreement with ARD. The contract negotiations had almost been finalized. Only at the last moment did ARD come up with additional demands. The decision had nothing to do with his home station RTL. A higher-paying offer from the Cologne-based private broadcaster had not been made and had therefore not contributed to his decision. Jauch, currently active on RTL with the show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" and "Stern TV", was due to succeed Christiansen in September 2007.
