Boundless

FCB Chicago shows Jeep boundaries that harbor potential for conflict. But they are not really boundaries at all.

The eternal dispute over borders is responsible for most wars. Countries have been in conflict for decades because the border does not correspond with their own territorial claims. Or the neighbor does not agree with it. Even if it is a theoretical thought: many things would be easier if there were no borders.

Jeep generally has fewer problems with limits: For the mother of all off-road vehicles, there are almost none. FCB Chicago used GPS to photograph three of the borders with the highest potential for conflict - in places that neither look like borders, nor are they guarded or fortified in any way. Instead, they appear completely harmless and peaceful. The claim: "We were all born without borders."

Whether this will sell more cars is another question. But perhaps it will at least make the world a little bit better. (hae)

Boundless

The Philharmonie de Paris' new campaign communicates openness and open-mindedness.

nolimits

Opened in 2015, the Philharmonie de Paris is the largest concert hall in Paris and, in addition to a stage, also includes 15 rehearsal rooms, an exhibition space and a restaurant. Special feature: unlike other venues for classical orchestras, the Philharmonie de Paris is open to other styles of music and collaborates with musicians from all genres and cultures.

This change in focus is not least at the request of politicians. Mayor Anne Hidalgo demanded that instead of the originally planned 270 classical concerts, only 150 should take place and the rest should be made available for styles such as rock, hip hop or world music. The aim is to open up to a new audience and create a Build a bridge between the two types of Paris that the Philharmonie de Paris also connects geographically: The elegant Boulevard périphérique and the surrounding, socially weaker suburbs.

This also explains the subjects of BETC: Classical music meets popular culture. The universal language of music is intended to break down rigid boundaries and norms - and "devour" the music that appeals to you. After all, even those sections of the population who don't care much for Mozart and evening wear should get something out of the 380 million euro showpiece. (hae)
