Amazee Labs realizes Kinderregion.ch, a website for family outings

The new Kinderregion.ch platform is the result of a collaboration between the regional tourism organizations of Baden, Zurich, Lake Zurich, Winterthur, and Zug. Suggestions for day trips, a blog, and information about the individual regions provide inspiration for your next family outing right on your doorstep.

The brief for the new Kinderregion website was a front-end based re-design that followed the concept of the original website - and had to be completed within a tight time limit. The required adjustments included new styling for the frontend, new color palette, adding a blog feature and reusing existing content. The lead agency was Rosarot Ideennetz. The challenge was to create something complex on a lean budget that reused elements from across the site and appealed to the main target audience: families.

Kinderregion is based on the same basic structure as Zürich Tourism. This allows the new website to offer content in a structured and appealing way.

The website follows the principle of "panels everywhere", which means that its layout and domain-specific function variants can be exported. Following the same logic, the home page is based on a panel page with different variants for each domain. The mega menu consists of mini-panels that transition into special menu elements via the menu's mini-panel module. By consistently using panels for all these domains, the content-rich website can be presented in a consistent and exciting way.
