Doodle new in iMessage
The Swiss online scheduling service Doodle is launching a convenient and fast scheduling feature directly within iMessage chats for Apple's new iOS 10 operating system.

The new generation of iPhones is accompanied by the new iOS10 operating system. Just in time for the release of iOS10, Doodle brings its convenient appointment finder, used by over 26 million users worldwide every month, directly to Apple's iMessage chat.
Setting an appointment with a larger group via chat can often be cumbersome. Thanks to the new Doodle iMessage app, you can now create a Doodle poll for an upcoming event directly in the chat. Participants vote without having to leave the chat. There are several templates with specific time periods to choose from to create the poll as quickly and easily as possible. Users of an older iOS version can also participate in the polls via a link.
No Doodle account is required to use the Doodle iMessage app in iOS10 and the service is completely free. The Doodle iMessage app can be easily selected in iMessage after installing iOS10 and updating the Doodle app.
Malte Schiebelmann, Chief Product Officer at Doodle: "With the new scheduling feature in iMessage, we offer our users a time-saving and convenient appointment coordination directly within a conversation. Instead of writing about a possible meeting, an appointment can now be set up directly."
First chatbot function already introduced
Just in late June, leading scheduler Doodle acquired Israeli chatbot developer Meekan, and the integration is progressing quickly: in the messaging app Slack, a communication tool for teams, the chatbot matches chat participants' calendars via a simple prompt and automatically creates a Doodle poll with the best possible dates based on participants' availabilities. The Doodle poll link can also be forwarded to others. Poll updates appear directly in the chat and the chatbot finally inserts the definitive date directly into the participants' calendars. The function has already been running in test mode for a few weeks, thus a first chatbot function was created within only one month.
