The creative agency brinkertlück, with offices in Zurich, Hamburg, and Chur, has been an official sponsor of the HCD Ladies since last season. Together with fashion designer Noa Holden, brinkertlück has now developed a collection that transforms the team’s original jerseys into everyday clothing.

brinkertlück HCD Ladies: From the Field to Everyday Life

Soccer jerseys have long since found their way into everyday life, and fashionable special-edition jerseys are now deliberately designed for daily wear. According to brinkertlück, the situation is different in ice hockey: simply because of their cut, the jerseys aren’t suitable for everyday wear. A solution to this problem has now been found. Noa Holden, a fashion designer and daughter of HCD coach Josh Holden, has teamed up with brinkertlück to develop a collection that transforms 21 HCD Ladies jerseys into new, unique fashion pieces.

Creativity Without Guidelines

Hoodies, leather or denim jackets, blazers, shirts, or combinations of different jersey tops – Noa Holden, who works for the Akris label, among others, was able to let her creativity run wild. «When I started on one, I didn’t yet know what it would look like in the end. I just let the ideas flow,» says the designer.

The collection was presented at the HCD Ladies« kick-off event, and individual pieces were given away in a raffle. »The idea of being able to show our support for the HCD Ladies in everyday life had been floating around for quite some time. When we first got in touch with Noa, she immediately impressed us with her talent. And now we have the solution right before our eyes: a super-cool collection designed for everyday wear, made from original hockey jerseys,” says Dennis Lück, CCO of brinkertlück Switzerland.

Great media response

According to brinkertlück, there are already calls on social media for a second edition of the collection. Immediately after the release, several thousand likes and comments were received. Media coverage in Ringier, Blick, Südostschweiz, and other publications also brought additional visibility to the idea and to HCD Ladies. «And that, too, was a nice—and planned—side effect of this idea,» adds Lück. A second collection is therefore on the horizon.
