Salt Leads the 2026 Bilanz Telecom Rating for Residential and SME Customers

In the 2026 Bilanz Telecom Rating, Salt ranked first among universal service providers for both residential customers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—thereby defending its top position among residential customers for the sixth consecutive year.

In the 2026 Bilanz Telecom Rating, Salt took first place in two customer segments simultaneously: among residential customers and among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This is among the so-called universal providers—that is, the three major Swiss telecommunications providers whose offerings include mobile service, internet, and TV. For residential customers, this marks the sixth consecutive top ranking.

The Bilanz Telecom Rating 2026 as a Measure of Customer Satisfaction

The Bilanz Telecom Rating will be published for the 27th time in 2026 and is considered an established benchmark for customer satisfaction in the Swiss telecommunications market. Residential and business customers rate their providers based on five criteria: quality, innovation, price, flexibility, and support. The current study is based on feedback from 9,582 residential customers and 892 business customers. According to the press release, Salt’s dual ranking demonstrates that its services are valued in both customer segments.

CEO Max Nunziata commented on the results: «Residential customers and small and medium-sized businesses have different telecommunications needs and service expectations. Ranking first in both segments shows that our combination of outstanding connectivity, customer-focused service, and premium products at attractive prices is valued across the entire market.»

Investments in Connectivity and Customer Proximity

To meet the evolving needs of its customers, Salt says it has focused on simpler, more reliable, and more accessible connectivity. For travelers, the revamped roaming offering is designed to provide expanded coverage and more flexible options: The Data DayPass now covers more than 200 countries, while the cost per GB of high-speed roaming in select destinations has been reduced by up to 80 percent. At home, according to the announcement, households benefit from faster and more stable connectivity with Salt Home+ and Wi-Fi 7. For businesses, secure connectivity and communication solutions are available through Corporate Internet and Corporate Voice.

At the same time, Salt continued to invest in its network of Salt Stores—opening new locations, relocating existing stores, and expanding its “Home of Salt” flagship concept in major Swiss cities.

Nunziata adds: «The fact that we’ve ranked first among private clients for the sixth consecutive year confirms that our dedication and our investments to date are paying off. We will continue to pursue both of these consistently.»
