Migros/Wirz: Christmas is what we pass on
In this year’s Migros Christmas campaign, we join Finn the Elf to discover what brings generations together—and just how much love can be found in a small gesture. Wirz and Migros are already presenting the fifth Elf movie, which tells the story of family and traditions.

Wirz and Migros are cultivating one of the most beautiful Christmas traditions - at least in the eyes of many Secret Santa fans: a new adventure with Finn. After the tender love story of 2024, the fifth Secret Santa movie is all about family - and little moments that last. We accompany Finn through different phases of his life: from curious elf child to rebellious teenager to adult elf. At the center of each story is a small gesture from his dad. A loving tradition that Finn passes on himself at the end.
"Christmas reminds us that the most valuable gifts are not under the tree, but in the moments we share together. They are the ones that last - far beyond the festive season," says Giovanna Colucci, Project Manager Campaigning at Migros. This year's motto "Christmas is what we pass on." focuses on these small moments and traditions that connect generations.
Musical accompaniment by Cat Stevens
The music also picks up on this theme. For Jan Kempter, Creative Director at Wirz, it was clear from the start that the film had to sound like "Father and Son" by Yusuf / Cat Stevens: "The song doesn't accompany the story by chance - it sums up in just a few bars what it's all about: love, letting go and passing on emotions that remain."
Digital Christmas world
In addition to the touching main film, Finn's story will continue to be told on numerous channels this year: A series of online videos, social media posts and DOOH implementations, advertisements, display ads and content in the Migros magazine will provide additional heartfelt moments and entertainment.
On the Finn Christmas platform developed by Mutabor & Apps with love www.migros.ch/finns-welt parents can immerse themselves in Finn's home together with their children: Gnome fans will not only discover the popular radio play series, but also new games and lots of hidden, interactive surprises.
