Komet develops successful response campaign for GVB
In 2024, Gebäudeversicherung Bern (GVB) will return a surplus of 35 million Swiss francs to its customers. The customer engagement campaign developed by Komet achieved an overwhelming response rate.

Gebäudeversicherung Bern (GVB) is giving its customers a total of 35 million francs of the surplus generated in 2024. This good news was sent to Bern's building owners via a digital and physical mailing from Komet.
The campaign had two objectives: Firstly, to inform customers about the premium reduction on the 2026 annual statement, and secondly, to encourage as many customers as possible to update their data and register on the digital customer portal mygvb.ch.
Convincing results
The response rate exceeded all expectations: In total, almost 36% of the more than 180,000 customers contacted took part. Of these, 52.5% used the digital channel, while 47.5% preferred the traditional reply card. The number of new registrations on the mygvb.ch customer portal was a particular success: with 11,000 new registrations, the original target of 5,500 was clearly exceeded.
To increase the participation rate, 30,000 "Hüsli-Spitzbuben" were raffled off. In addition, online participants were able to take part in a competition to win 50 Gastrobern vouchers, which contributed significantly to the high digital response rate.
