Two strong winners with different goals

AWARD-CC On September 10, the Corporate Communications Award entered its eleventh round. The jury of eight experts selected two winners from six nominees. Both Swissgrid with its energy plan and Swiss Tennis' commitment to the younger generation impressed with their understanding and fun.The Swissgrid AG is responsible for Switzerland's electricity supply and plays an important mediating role between various stakeholder groups, such as the authorities and the media. The modernization and expansion of the national electricity grid is a key factor for a sustainable energy future. However, these measures are dependent on this group. Swissgrid has launched a campaign to present the "Strategic Grid 2025" project to these stakeholders in a transparent manner, which is intended to present the technically complex and politically charged topics of the project in a way that is easy to understand.A modern (communication) "network"The primary communication tool used was a four-language Microsite was created. On the one hand, it provides experts with relevant information and technical annual reports for download. On the other hand, the site offers other interested parties a gentle introduction by means of information graphics, explanatory animations and video interviews with important internal and external protagonists. Self-service interaction options and the offer of interaction options with Swissgrid, for example via Twitter and the contact form, facilitate dialog with stakeholders.Target group-orientedIn addition to the microsite, further measures were taken for internal and external communication. Various basic documents allow the various stakeholder groups to be addressed in a convincing and comprehensible manner. The documents include an overall technical report, an overview brochure, an "Everything at a glance" flyer, argument scenarios, language rules, FAQs and a standard presentation for employees. A series of events in German-speaking and French-speaking Switzerland are intended to provide additional clarity and invite personal dialog with Swissgrid. Other communication channels used for the campaign include social media platforms, the Swissgrid app and the newsletter. Swissgrid's campaign will continue until the end of the year.

Swissgrid presents its project in an understandable way with an animated microsite and target group-oriented documentation.Points instead of gradesThe second winner of the Swiss Award-CC had the goal of getting children between the ages of five and twelve interested in tennis and retaining them for the long term, thereby revolutionizing tennis. The Swiss Tennis Association created a new training program. The "Kids Tennis High School" creates teams instead of classes, conducts challenges instead of exams and awards points instead of grades.More tournaments, more funThe goals are to be achieved through new, family-friendly tournament formats on the one hand, and by rewarding team play with points for every match played and for every tournament in which a child has taken part on the other. The fun of the sport should continue. This is ensured by smaller tennis courts and slower balls. Swiss Tennis also introduced 30 learning modules that document the children's progress and thus open up opportunities for comparison.Lion, parrot or dolphin?During the training program, the children are divided into three levels: red, orange and green. There are adapted pitches, balls and materials for each level. The training program is completed when all 30 learning modules have been completed. In order to communicate this training program in an understandable and attractive way, the association has developed storytelling from the levels. The result is the story of three teams that compete against each other in the "Kids Tennis High School". The three teams serve as an identification surface for the children. They choose where they belong - as a strong lion, a cheeky parrot or a clever dolphin.Reaching your goal with communicationNik Schwab and Hej Creative planned and realized the entire communication process in collaboration with Swiss Tennis. The result was a variety of communication tools for the target group. These include a brochure, an information event, a training book, a website with a login area for children and a newsletter. The campaign started at the beginning of 2015 and the actual PR campaign will be launched in 2016 as soon as enough children have taken part in the program.
