Yannick Orto becomes Head of Communications at McKinsey & Company Switzerland
Management consultancy McKinsey has appointed Yannick Orto as Head of Communications Switzerland. He is responsible for all of the firm's internal and external communications in Switzerland. This provides cross-industry expertise, particularly in the areas of transformation, innovation, AI and sustainability.
As Head of Communications at McKinsey Switzerland, the German-Italian PR expert Yannick Orto succeeds Dominic Baumann, who took over the management of the "von Rundstedt SME Desk" and the management of KMU Problemlöser in spring 2023 after almost four years at McKinsey Switzerland.
Orto has worked for Credit Suisse in Zurich since 2019, initially in the Group Corporate Communications unit, including as a media spokesperson specializing in financial communications and human resources, and later in the Chairmans Office to head up the Client & Investor Framework. Prior to this, he gained journalistic experience at various print and online media in Germany. From 2016 to 2019, he worked as a TV producer for ARD's Geneva studio, focusing on the United Nations and Swiss politics.
"McKinsey in Switzerland combines global expertise with in-depth local knowledge. Our consultants support private and public organizations from various industries to sustainably improve their performance. I am also enthusiastic about the concentrated knowledge of the Swiss partner group, which is reflected in in-depth analyses," says Orto about his new position.
