Change in the editorial team of the Luzerner Zeitung

After more than 20 years of journalistic work for LZ Medienhaus, Dominik Buholzer (1971) has decided at his own request to pursue a new career path full-time. "I had a fantastic time at the Lucerne Newspaper. But I have been offered a new professional challenge in another industry, which I would now like to take up," explains Buholzer. An assessment of the successor to the Sunday leader is now being carried out. Journalistic assignments by Buholzer for the newspaper will remain possible, outside of the current function. "With Dominik Buholzer, we are losing a very experienced and deserving colleague. On behalf of the editorial team, I would like to thank him most sincerely for his extremely valuable work on behalf of our newspaper," said Jérôme Martinu, Editor-in-Chief of the Lucerne Newspaper. In addition to Martinu, the LZ editorial board includes: Pascal Hollenstein, publishing director of NZZ Regional Media, Flurina Valsecchi, deputy editor-in-chief/head of regional departments, and Roman Schenkel, deputy editor-in-chief/head of national departments.

Dominik Buholzer started his career at the Lucerne Newspaper 1995 in Uri, in 1998 the trained teacher became editorial director of the Neue Nidwaldner Zeitung. In 2006, he moved to the Switzerland department as editor, and in 2007 he became head of the newsdesk and finally a member of the extended editorial management team. Since February 2012, Buholzer has been Deputy Editor-in-Chief, responsible for the Central Switzerland on Sunday.
