Change in management at Ogilvy & Mather: Zimmerli leaves, Schipper takes over
After a little more than 26 years at Ogilvy—more than 18 of them as Managing Director of Ogilvy & Mather Switzerland—Gaby Zimmerli will hand over leadership of the agency to Jonathan Schipper effective June 1, 2018.
Jonathan Schipper first worked for Ogilvy from 2004 to 2009, then moved to the client side and then to the Y&R Group before returning to Ogilvy & Mather in 2013. Since then, he has been a member of the management team and a successful senior consultant. Parallel to his professional activities, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communication at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and completed his studies at the University of Zurich with an Executive MBA at the end of the month.
According to the press release, Gaby Zimmerli is firmly convinced, based on her many years of working with Jonathan Schipper, that he has everything it takes to lead the agency successfully, to develop it further and to be a competent partner for clients.
