Tsüri.ch creates new jobs and strengthens three positions
The city magazine Tsüri.ch is expanding its team in several ways. Roland Wagner and Seraina Manser have joined the staff. Existing editorial team members Timothy Endut and Marco Büsch are now serving as co-editors-in-chief.

It is currently rare in the media industry for a company to be able to grow and expand. The city magazine Tsüri.ch is doing just that thanks to community-centered and modern journalism. The new heads are introduced here.
The status magazine Tsüri.ch reaches around 40,000 unique clients per month, actively interacts with the community and relies on mixed financing through advertising and membership income. Thanks to this recipe for success, the young media company from Zurich has successfully increased its capital. "We were able to convince the first private investors of our business plan", says publisher Simon Jacoby in a press release, with more to follow in the coming months. Thanks to the new capital, the team has been strengthened. Following the departure of Alun Meyerhans, who had managed the business since mid-2016, and Darja Schildknecht, who worked as project manager for the Smart City project, Tsüri.ch has created three new positions and filled two existing ones.
- Roland Wagner, former IBM manager, top swimmer and member of the Executive Board of the Swiss Federation of the Deaf, takes over as Managing Director.
- Seraina Manser, former freelancer at Tsüri.ch and communications employee at Theater Neumarkt, fills the newly created position of Member and Community Manager.
- Timothy Endut, a member of the Tsüri.ch editorial team since the start and Head of Communications at the Swiss Plain Language Association, is the new Co-Editor-in-Chief.
- Marco Büsch, who has been part of the Tsüri.ch editorial team since the beginning of 2015 and studied political science with a focus on data journalism, is also the new co-editor-in-chief.
- Simon Jacobythe former editor-in-chief and founder of Tsüri.ch is responsible for the new permanent position of Civic Media Project Manager.
Tsüri.ch was founded in January 2015 by a group of young journalists and is aimed at 20 to 40-year-olds in the city of Zurich. In June, the city magazine launched its first civic media project: the topic of Smart City dominated the city for a month. In future, there will be various such focus projects under the Civic Media label. Tsüri.ch sees this as interactive and community-oriented journalism that picks up on and launches political and social debates.
