Somedia strengthens the Board of Directors

Catherine Mühlemann and Boris Berger are joining Somedia’s Board of Directors. With this move, the media company is bringing additional media expertise and many years of experience in the field of digitalization to its top governing body.

At their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, Somedia shareholders elected two new Board members, Catherine Mühlemann and Boris Berger, and confirmed the existing Board members in office. Catherine Mühlemann started her professional career at Swiss Television in 1994. From 1997, she was in charge of setting up the second channel SF2 and the programming strategy of both channels SF1 and SF2. In 1999, Mühlemann moved to the first Swiss private channel TV3 as co-founder and program director. In 2001, Catherine Mühlemann followed Viacom's call and took over the management of MTV Central. From 2005, she was also responsible for the TV business of the Viva Media Group. The former Swisscom board member is now responsible for an e-commerce platform as an entrepreneur and has been Vice President of Switzerland Tourism since 2017. The media manager is the mother of two children and lives in Interlaken and Berlin.

Boris Berger is the father of three children and lives in Weesen. He has been a member of the advisory board of the Ebner Ulm publishing group since 2014. After training as an interior designer at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich and studying philosophy at the Free University in Berlin, Boris Berger completed further training as a graduate industrial designer. Since 1996, Berger has been active as a member of the management board, investor and founder for various companies including TopMail, Interim Excellence and Forum Executive in Europe.

The Somedia Board of Directors now consists of Hanspeter Lebrument (Chairman), Silvio Lebrument, Susanne Lebrument, Peter Lebrument, Andrea von Rechenberg, Catherine Mühlemann and Boris Berger.
