Roberto Rhiner leaves Tamedia and becomes CFO of AZ Medien

Roberto Rhiner has worked for the Swiss media group since 1999. Initially, he was in charge of publishing house controlling, and later he was responsible for controlling in the magazine and newspaper divisions. In 2007, he finally took over the overall management of Tamedia's controlling. Before moving to the media industry, Roberto Rhiner worked for over ten years in accounting and controlling at Mövenpick Hotels Switzerland and International.

During his many years at Tamedia, Roberto Rhiner was instrumental in developing the controlling department into a national team with managers in Berne, Lausanne and Zurich, and in expanding it into international business. In addition, he was responsible for various process and organizational optimizations and supported numerous M&A and strategy projects.

CFO Tschudi retires

At AZ Medien, Rhiner succeeds Roland Tschudi, who will retire at the end of November. During his 18 years as CFO of AZ Medien, Tschudi was not only responsible for Group Finance and Controlling, but in the meantime also for areas such as Human Resources and Services, IT/Prepress as well as KKC and Printing & Distribution. Roland Tschudi is a member of the Executive Board and Managing Director of the AZ Medien pension fund. (hae/pd)
