Ringier appoints Susanne Jud as Chief People Officer and Johanna Walser as Chief Communications Officer

In their new roles, both are members of Ringier's extended Executive Board. Both People Management and Corporate Communications are areas of the Ringier Corporate Center. Both report to Ringier CEO Marc Walder.

Susanne Jud, who has held various HR management positions at Ringier since 2018, has been appointed Chief People Officer. At the same time, the HR division, which Susanne Jud has headed ad interim since August 2020, will be renamed People Management. Prior to joining Ringier, Susanne Jud held various HR positions at tpc/SRF and Orell Füssli for several years. A qualified HR manager, Susanne Jud holds a master's degree in human resource management and a CAS degree in strategic management and organizational development and consulting.

Marc Walder, CEO of Ringier, said in a press release: "Personnel work or Human Resources will become People Management. This symbolizes a change in the way we think about management: It is increasingly about participation, further development and inclusion. These are central tasks that a Chief People Officer (CPO) manages within a company. Ringier - in the midst of its transformation - wants to be a role model in people management."

Johanna Walser has been Ringier's Chief Communications Officer since October 1. Back in November 2019, she took over - at that time still ad interim - as Head of Corporate Communications at Ringier AG. Johanna Walser has been working for Ringier since 2017. First as Head of Corporate Communications for the joint venture Ringier Axel Springer Media, then as Communications Manager with a focus on Global Marketplaces for Ringier. In 2018, she was appointed Deputy CCO. Before joining Ringier, she was Communications Manager at Distrelec, a company of the listed Daetwyler Group. Johanna Walser holds a Magistra Artium degree from the Rheinisch-Westfälisch Technische Hochschule Aachen.
