With Ralf Kostgeld, IWC Schaffhausen and the Richemont Group are bringing a creative director with many years of cross-media, film and branding expertise as well as an international track record into the company. Since his short film "Chez toi" for 100 years of Kunsthaus Zürich, the topic of film, storytelling and moving images - especially in digital channels - has become even more important to him.

"IWC offers an extremely exciting platform for brand communication and is also a sponsor of five prestigious film festivals worldwide. When IWC approached me with an offer, it was naturally very appealing to me as a big fan of film and watches," Kostgeld explains.

The member of the Art Directors Club Switzerland was most recently Managing Director Creation at Renzen Communications LSA and has worked in various communications and branding agencies in Europe and the USA, including over 10 years as Creative Director at Publicis Zurich. Ralf Kostgeld is a guest lecturer for brand management at various universities and a jury member at international creative festivals. The year before last, he represented Switzerland at the Cannes Lions.

In spring 2017, he and Michael Conrad acted as jury chairmen for the Golden Egg Advertising Festival in Estonia, where the "digital first" strategy has been practiced intensively and applied worldwide since the 1990s. To date, Kostgeld has won more than 190 national and international creative and efficiency awards.

Together with his partner, concert pianist Tamara Kordzadze, he is also involved in the international classical music scene. He advises artists on branding and communication, for example the Swiss-Chinese star pianist Louis Schwizgebel, who lives in London.
