Radio SRF 3: Program director Pascal Scherrer leaves SRF
After a total of about 15 years with Swiss Radio and Television and eight years as program director of Radio SRF 3, Pascal Scherrer has decided to leave the company in mid-2019.

For the past eight years, Pascal Scherrer has been responsible for managing Radio SRF 3. In this role, he has steadily developed Radio SRF 3 and made it the social media brand with the widest reach within SRF. He was also instrumental in developing the new strategy for Radio SRF 3, according to the statement, and ensured continued success with the station's daily audience of more than 1.2 million listeners. Starting in 2016, Scherrer and his staff sharpened the station's profile and - based on a strong information performance - focused with great consistency on the three programming pillars of music, sports and comedy.
Scherrer began his career at Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen in 2004 as the day-to-day manager at DRS 3. From 2007 to 2010, he worked as journalistic director and deputy program director, and from 2011 he oversaw the rebranding of DRS 3 as Radio SRF 3.
"My time at SRF was great. I owe a lot to the company and my employees. Now, when it's at its best, it's time to move on. I will remain in the media sector, but I can only reveal more about my new role at a later date," Pascal Scherrer said in the statement.
The successor to Pascal Scherrer will be communicated at a later date.
