New management and reinforcement of the digital team at NZZ am Sonntag
New arrangements are being made to fill the position vacated by Chanchal Biswas, deputy editor-in-chief and head of digital at the NZZ am Sonntag, who is stepping down at the end of July 2018.

At the level of Editor-in-Chief, Luzi Bernet, Editor-in-Chief of the NZZ on Sunday, responsibility for the further digital development of the NZZ on Sunday. Marco Metzler, previously deputy to Chanchal Biswas, will take over responsibility for the Digital team as Head of Department on August 1, 2018. Metzler studied economic history in conjunction with social economics, computer science and business administration in Zurich and Madrid. Alongside this, he gained his first journalistic experience. From 2004 to 2006, he was responsible for internal communications at Swisscom and built up an internal news portal. After a stage at the Swiss Embassy in Buenos Aires, he joined the business editorial department of the New Zurich Newspaper with. In 2008, he moved to NZZ Online, where he wrote mainly about the world of finance and economics, helped shape the further development of the finance portal, and hosted the daily stock market show "NZZ Impulse". In 2013, Metzler moved as economics editor to the NZZ on Sundaywhere he wrote mainly about digital topics. Since August 2016, he has been driving the establishment and expansion of NZZaS.ch ahead, as Deputy Head of Digital since March 2017.


New to the digital team of NZZ on Sunday will be joined by Boas Ruh in the fall. Ruh studied communication and journalism at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Alongside his studies, he completed various internships, including one with Swiss television for the political program "Arena." After that, he worked as a freelance journalist for the Country Messenger, Watson.ch and the Schaffhausen News active. In spring 2016, he completed a traineeship in the domestic editorial department of the NZZ. Subsequently, the entry into the NZZ-newsroom, where he was, among other things, chief of staff for NZZ.ch. At the NZZ on Sunday he will take over the Blattmacherdienst digital on a rotating basis. In addition, he will be responsible for the community area and will support Luzi Bernet and Marco Metzler in the conceptual further development of the digital NZZ on Sunday support. Both colleagues are also to appear as authors.
