Michael Grund is a new member of the HWZ Executive Board
Michael A. Grund has been appointed as the new Head of the Department of Marketing & Business Communications and member of the Executive Board of the HWZ Zurich School of Business.
On April 1, 2019, Grund took over the management of the HWZ's Marketing & Business Communications department from Claudia Meier-Biedermann, who is leaving the university for Silicon Valley. "I have been passionate about marketing and communication since my own student days. I think it is one of the most important tasks of any company to offer solutions that more than just meet customer needs, and we want to make an important contribution here in the areas of teaching, continuing education and research," says Michael Grund.
Specifically, students should create added value in their professional environment - for customers as well as for their own company. The Department of Marketing & Business Communications will be launching new courses in the near future that will round off the range of topics in the areas of marketing, communication and sales in light of digitalization. The department also includes the specialist units Sales & Distribution, Authentic Brand Management and Writing & Publishing.
Michael Grund has been working at the HWZ since 2006. He is already Head of the Center for Marketing & Sales and is now Head of the Department of Marketing & Business Communications. He is also head of the Executive MBA - Marketing, the MAS Customer Excellence, the MAS Sales Excellence and the DBA program. Before joining the HWZ, he was Head of Marketing Intelligence at Sunrise and diAx for several years. He is the author of articles in journals, anthologies and encyclopaedias and a lecturer at universities and universities of applied sciences. In addition, he has worked as a consultant for renowned companies in numerous practical and research projects over the past 25 years.
