Martin Schneider steps down as CEO of Admeira
Martin Schneider has decided to step down from his role as CEO of Admeira for personal reasons. The executive team—comprising COO Marc Sier, CSO Arne Bergmann, and CMO Beatrice Kniel—will take over the leadership of Admeira on an interim basis. Marc Sier will serve as primus inter pares.

The 50-year-old CEO of Admeira is leaving the company on April 4, 2017 for family reasons. Schneider took up his position as CEO a year ago. Previously, from 2003, he was director of SRG subsidiary Publisuisse, which was responsible for advertising marketing for all SRG television stations and for sponsorship at SRG radio stations and was integrated into Admeira. As project manager and then CEO, Schneider helped develop and build up the marketing company of Ringier, Swisscom and SRG. His time as CEO included the successful market launch of Admeira and the development of a multimedia portfolio with around 80 media brands.
Moreover, Schneider is responsible for the fact that, following initial positive market experiences, the company has adapted its structures even more consistently to market and customer needs in recent months. With the move into the new Zurich location, Medienpark, as of March 2017, the company's start-up phase was successfully completed.

After this labor-intensive founding year, Martin Schneider has decided to give up his position in order to devote more time to his family. The Board of Directors regrets this decision in a statement, but has understanding for it.
In a statement, Marc Walder, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Admeira, praised Schneider's development work and thanked him for his commitment: "We accept and regret his decision to leave Admeira for private reasons," Walder said.
Outgoing CEO Martin Schneider says that after "extremely exciting and intensive development work in a pioneering project that is unique in Europe," the time has come for him to hand over the reins of Admeira. He is convinced that Admeira, with its innovative products and motivated employees, is ideally positioned to meet the challenges of the future.
Martin Schneider will continue to support the Board of Directors in an advisory capacity until the end of the year. Until the election of the new CEO, the current Executive Board members Marc Sier, Chief Operating Officer, Arne Bergmann, Chief Sales Officer, and Beatrice Kniel, Chief Marketing Officer, will lead the marketing company on an interim basis. Marc Sier will act as primus inter pares. (hae/pd)
