Markus A. Wirth becomes new Chief Digital Officer of TX Group
Markus A. Wirth will assume the vacant position of Chief Digital Officer at TX Group starting in February 2021. The management consultant will be responsible for the further development and implementation of the Group’s digital strategy. He will report to Samuel Hügli, Head of Technology & Ventures at TX Group and a member of the Group Executive Board.
After the appointment of Yannick Suter appointed new Chief Data Officer of TX Group, the Group has now also been able to fill the vacant position of Chief Digital Officer. In his new role, Markus A. Wirth will serve as a kind of engine for digital transformation and as a driver for a technical and data-driven future in order to promote growth and achieve strategic and operational goals, the group writes in a statement.
As an entrepreneur, consultant, strategist and executive, Markus A. Wirth has more than 20 years of experience in the development and implementation of corporate strategies in various industries and in both Swiss and international contexts. Most recently, he held various management positions at Cofra Holding, and before that at McKinsey and IBM, among others. Wirth holds a Master in Economics & Business Administration as well as a PhD from the University of St. Gallen.
