Jürg Schmid elected as expected as the top Graubünden tourism official
An extraordinary general meeting of the cantonal marketing organization Graubünden Ferien (GRF) elected Jürg Schmid as its new president on Wednesday.
Schmid will continue in his position as Director of Switzerland Tourism until the end of 2017, as announced by the GRF marketing organization. He will take over as GRF President at the beginning of October. He replaces the previous President Marcel Friberg.
Schmid announced in May that he intended to set up a marketing agency and take on a few mandates after leaving Switzerland Tourism (Werbewoche.ch reported). One of these is as President of GRF. The 55-year-old has been Director of Switzerland Tourism since November 1999. (SDA)
