Journalist and author Ralph Weibel joins the Nebelspalter team

Ralph Weibel makes his debut in the March issue of *Nebelspalter*, which comes out this Friday. The St. Gallen-based journalist, playwright, and poetry slammer has been working since February as a producer and editor for the world’s oldest satirical magazine, alongside editor-in-chief Marco Ratschiller.

After almost 25 years in daily journalism at the St. Galler Tagblatt and as editorial director at Radio FM1, the 50-year-old is looking forward to the new challenge: "After the first edition I was able to work on, I'm sure I've arrived at the right place."

In the current issue, which, in addition to current satires and caricatures, features the usual cheerfully illustrated main topics ("What's left of the sixty-eighters" and "The car of the future"), Weibel has addressed, among other things, the re-election of Vladimir Putin in Russia.

"There is no better challenge than to confront the absurdities of this world with humor without clouding the seriousness in the crevices," the author said in a statement.
