Jessica Peppel-Schulz becomes new head of Tamedia
Jessica Peppel-Schulz will take over as CEO of Tamedia on October 1, 2023. The current Managing Director Andreas Schaffner will continue to work for the company with a reduced workload.
The change is part of a long-term succession plan, Tamedia announced on Tuesday. Schaffner had announced his wish to relinquish management at the end of 2023. He will continue to be available to the company for selected projects.
Peppel-Schulz most recently served as CEO for Condé Nast Germany, headquartered in Munich. The company publishes, among others, the magazines Vogue and GQ out. According to the press release, Peppel-Schulz drove forward the digital transformation of the traditionally print-heavy media company.

She will also have this task at Tamedia. "The transformation has been successfully launched at Tamedia. The task now is to drive the process forward quickly and thereby ensure sustainable profitability," Peppel-Schulz is quoted as saying.
A native of Hamburg, she began her career in 2001 at the telecommunications group HanseNet/AOL, where she rose to become divisional manager of marketing for private customers and brand communications. She studied and graduated in economics at the University of Hamburg. (SDA/swi)
