Jann Billeter moves from SRF to MySports
Sports presenter and commentator Jann Billeter is leaving SRF after 24 years to join the sports channel MySports. The 49-year-old will make his final appearance on SRF during the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, which he will host starting July 23, 2021.

Billeter has been working for Swiss radio and television since August 1997. He is currently on duty as a commentator for the live games of the Ice Hockey World Championship in Riga. The 49-year-old sports journalist became known to the general public as a presenter of "Sportpanorama" and numerous major events, as well as a commentator - particularly in ice hockey, alpine skiing and tennis. Now he has decided to take on a new professional challenge outside SRF, SRF writes in a statement.
After the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, which he will present as an anchor for SRF from July 23, 2021, Jann Billeter will move to MySports. At the sports channel, the former HC Davos ice hockey player will work as an ice hockey presenter and commentator. "During the past 24 years, I have been able to experience almost everything a sports journalist could dream of. I feel great gratitude for that," Billeter said of his move. "It has been a great pleasure for me to bring the SRF audience closer to sports in all its facets. And although I consider the past 24 years a great gift, the time has come for me to refocus on my great passion. In the future, it will be 100 percent ice hockey for me. I'm really looking forward to that."
24-year career with Swiss radio and television
Billeter started his journalistic career in the mid-1990s at Winterthur's private station Radio Eulach, now Radio Top. In 1997, he moved to the sports editorial department of the then SF DRS. In the following years, as part of the SRF ice hockey team, he developed from a contributor and interviewer to a commentator and presenter - and followed the national championship, the Spengler Cup and the World Championships up close. At a total of 20 ice hockey world championships, the native of Davos reported from the scene of the action.
From 2007 to 2010 - in addition to his duties at SRF Sport - he hosted the knowledge magazine "Einstein. In addition, on the opening day of the 2008 European Soccer Championships, Jann Billeter joined Mona Vetsch in a 17-hour "SF Spezial" live broadcast for TV audiences to look behind the scenes of the major event in Switzerland.
